Help has arrived!

The kids are home from college and now we will see things start hopping.  It was only their first day home and they transplanted a whole block of melons out of the greenhouse and covered them with row covers.  Wow!  That would of taken us several days.  Another daughter came up also to ‘enjoy the fun’ weeded the garlic and the strawberries.  I think her mouth is watering for the first berries of the year. 🙂  We even had two cooked meals today and homemade pizza.  Meanwhile I felt like I didn’t get anything done, just watered the greenhouse, transplanted basil and bok choy, watered the inside hot table room and worked on ordering supplies for the market tables.  So good to be together again and working for the goal.  We did the walk-through this morning to see everything and what needed done.  When we got done Ben sat down in the greenhouse and said, “I don’t know where to begin”.  It looks like alot but we just take little by little.  They made a hugh hole in the amount of plants by planting the melons.  Oh, the onions we gave haircuts to last week loved it.  They are already twice as tall and much stronger for it.  Amazing!  I popped the 1 inch and larger peppers off of the pepper plants in pots.  It’s just too hard on the plants to have that much growth on them when we transplant.  Well it is 11:24 p.m. it must be time to re-energize and get some sleep.  Have a good-night!

P.S.  Look what is blooming.
